President Obama Inaugurated
On Jan. 20, 2009, President Barak Obama was inaugurated. He has made history as the first African American president. However, that is not the most important part. He will help to better unify the United States and do great things as president. I do not support him on every issue, but he is the President and we need to keep him in our prayers.
No Blackberry for Barack obama
President- elect Barack Obama's blackberry may be taken away. Obama's blackberry is important to him, but his security is more important to the secret service. Because he is going to be president, he apparently can't have his own phone.
Israel vs. Gaza
Israel and Gaza have been in attacking each other for the past few weeks. Many countries are against Israel, but you would think that by now they would realize that they won't take Israel over. It has been several years and Israel is still standing. They are small but will always be able to defend themselves. We need to pray for Israel and civilians of Gaza and hope that these wars will be over soon.
NFL Star Shoots Himself In The Leg
As you may already know, Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg at a night club. Plax was wearing flashy jewelry and was carrying a lot of cash. He told security that he had the gun for protection. Security grew nervous as they noticed Plax was sucking down a few too many drinks. As they were leading Plax to a VIP room his gun fell and he fumbled it around, shooting himself in the leg. Antonio Pierce tried to hide the gun but was caught by police. His lawyers argued with police about pressing charges. We do know, however, that Plaxico Burress is facing fealony gun charges. Right now the Giants are only worried about his well-being.
Mr. President Dodges Shoe
President George W. Bush was in Baghdad on a farewell visit. This was just a few weeks before he will turn the Iraqi war over to President Elect Barack Obama. Apparently, one of the reporters was, for whatever reason, angry at our president. He stood up and threw a shoe at President Bush. As Bush dodged it, the reporter proceeded to throw another shoe. Luckily, the Prime Minister of Iraq was able to block the shoe and save our president. President Bush was not angry at the man and is perfectly fine.
